About Us

Our Mission

GCMA is committed to safeguarding and celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Kerala while strengthening unity and belonging within our community.

We bring individuals and families together through meaningful cultural gatherings, social programs, and sporting events that honour our traditions. Through initiatives focused on youth development, mental wellbeing, and community outreach, we aim to inspire growth, encourage participation, and empower every member of our community.

Our Vision

GCMA aspires to be a leading community-led organisation representing Kerala’s heritage all over Australia.

We envision an inclusive and forward-thinking platform that proudly upholds our cultural values while evolving with future generations. By actively engaging young people and fostering leadership, we seek to preserve Kerala’s legacy and support the social and economic growth of our members for years to come.

Our Story

Established in 2008, the Gold Coast Malayalee Association (GCMA) is a vibrant and growing community representing Malayalees across the Gold Coast.

What began with around 100 founding members has evolved into one of the region’s most active cultural organisations. Officially registered with an ABN on 16 May 2010, GCMA continues to strengthen community bonds through meaningful cultural, social, and sporting initiatives.

We proudly celebrate traditions through events such as Vishu, Easter, Onam, and Christmas, while fostering unity, cultural pride, and community connection for generations to come.
